Roundtable Readers



The idea of Roundtable Readers is really quite simple:

Every however-often, likeminded lovers of books, reading and the like come together on Twitter to discuss in the most casual and easygoing way

what we’ve been reading / what’s our favourite thing to read /
what we recommend others read
etc., etc.

Really, absolutely anything to do with reading and books!

I’ve wanted to do something like this for a while, but I think a formal “book club” – in which everyone reads a set text and comes together to discuss it – adds yet another pressure to people’s already busy lives.

Rather, as Matt Haig suggests, we should simply

Just read it. Enjoy every word, sentence, and paragraph.

I envisage this taking place perhaps once a month, or maybe every fortnight – truth be told, I have no idea, as of yet: I don’t want to tread on the toes of other chats out there. In any case, the first chat ill take place on Wednesday, 18th January 2017, at 8:30pm GMT.
